Shamanic Workship

March 12 – 13, 2016

Shamanism as a technique, a spiritual technology. It involves being in a unique state of consciousness, very different from that of mundane, driving to the grocery store for milk and eggs, consciousness. Going into shamanic trance is like plunging into the collective unconscious, where the land is peopled by beings of myth and legend.  Many shamanic techniques can be used in ritual magic.

In this class series, held March12th  and 13th,  you will learn to enter the shamanic trance state and get a power animal, learn to navigate the Lower, Upper, and Middle worlds while in trance, and learn to go to the upper world to get a spirit guide. You will also be able to share your experiences in circle. We will use drums and rattles for our journey work.

Teacher Bio: Soror Tzaddi learned shamanism from Michael Harner’s Foundation for Shamanic Studies in 1991. She has led drum circles, taught shamanic techniques, performed healings, made power objects, led group rituals, lectured on shamanism and other topics, and contributed entries to Shamanism: An Encyclopedia of World Beliefs, Practices, and Culture edited by Mariko Walter as well as periodicals. She joined the OTO in 1998, and became an ordained Priestess in EGC in 2005.  Be forewarned, she does not take herself too seriously!
