September 8, 2011 e.v., 7 PM – Evening at the Oasis/ “On the role of the Deacon in EGC”: Our monthly Oasis open house where members of the Oasis extend their hospitality to each other and non-initiates. Movies, games, music, refreshments and camaraderie.

This month we discuss, debate, harangue, postulate and conjecture about the role of the Deacon in Liber XV, The Gnostic Mass of the Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica.

September 14, 2011 e.v., 7 PM – Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram Class: Taught by yours truly, Frater Nur-i-Siyah. The LBRP is one of the most heavily published rituals around and this class will go over the basics as well as get into some more speculative material that should delight student and Adept alike.

September 17-18, 2011 e.v. – OTO-USGL Certified Initiator Training: Bubastis Oasis is pleased to offer Certified Initiator Training in Dallas, Texas September 17th and 18th, 2011. Please join us for this weekend on education and fraternity.

Purpose

This class will fulfill one of the requirements to become an Initiator. Members who are of III degree or higher and are eligible to apply for a charter to initiate.   Members of lower degrees can attend those parts of the lectures to which their degree will allow.

Anita Kraft, an SGIG with 18 years in the order and past Master of  IAO Abraxas Oasis and Theirte Ekstasis Camp will be presenting this Certified Initator Training class.

Public Gnostic Mass 6 pm

9-12:30 II Degree

12:30 -1:15 lunch

Cost:

$35 for III Degree and above

$20 for I and II Degrees

This will include lunch both days.

Requirements for Anita to sign for your CIT to become a certified initiator:

“Anyone Third Degree or higher who wants me to sign off on application paperwork should have completed their CPR and completed all the paperwork and requirements prior to the CIT.  Also, they should be included as one of the initiators in the demonstrations so I can see them function in that role in the walk-throughs, including memorizing the initiation.  If there are more people than 4, then the rest should memorize the openings up to second degree and be prepared to exemplify these.”

October 4, 2011 e.v., 7 PM – Yoga with Fr.H0110W: Our monthly practical Yoga class. Come with comfortable clothing and your own yoga mat. Donation requested.

October 9, 2011 e.v., 7 PM – Bubasitis Oasis Business Meeting: Our regular business meetings open to initiates of the Minerval (0°) or higher. If you’re a member of the Oasis this is your opportunity to make sure that the resources our local body has are put to use – make your voice heard! Also, let’s not forget the Third House Duty of the Brethren of OTO according to Liber CI: “[The Brethren] shall respond heartily to every summons of the Lodge or Chapter to which they may belong, not lightly making excuse.”

This month we celebrate the 136^th anniversary of the Feast of Life of Edward Alexander “Aleister” Crowley, Prophet of the New Æon.

This month we will cover the perennial bugaboo of Western magick, the Goetia. Brother Gnosthi Seuton will conduct the Demonic Philharmonic Sin-fony. Should be fun!

November 11-13, 2011 e.v. – TOTOCON: Scarlet Woman Lodge in Austin, TX will be hosting the Fourth Annual Texas OTO Conference. This conference is open to the public and promises to be really exciting! A number of members of our Oasis will be presenting workshops and talks over the weekend and we would love to see some other friendly D-town folks in the audience. November 19, 2011 e.v., 7 PM – M.’.M.’.M.’. Degree Initiations: All qualifying candidates for initiation must be sure to complete and submit their applications for same no later than the end of September.

These ceremonies are open to the public and are participatory. So if you’ve never attended a Gnostic Mass, would like to, but are uncertain as to what might be expected of you, drop us a line so we can fill you in on the details.
