March is now upon us! As Thelemites we celebrate our New Year in March on the Vernal Equinox so you can expect to see a lot of activity at Bubastis over the next few weeks. For instance we have the following upcoming events:

Wednesday, 3/2/10, at 7:00 PM we continue our Yoga with Frater H0110W classes. The education and practice of the discipline of Yoga is mentioned frequently in the Order’s source documents and we are happy to provide our community with the opportunity to explore this discipline. The classes occur regularly on the first Wednesday of the month and are open to non-initiates. Wear comfortable clothing and make sure you bring a yoga mat.

Sunday, 3/6/2011, at 6 PM, Bubastis Oasis’ Coiled Splendour Sanctuary will observe a Baptismal celebration of the Gnostic Mass.

Also, Sunday, 3/13/2011 and 3/27/2011 at noon, Bubastis Oasis’ Coiled Splendour Sanctuary will host a celebration of the Gnostic Mass.

All three Masses are open to the public. However, if you would like to attend either or both and have never participated in an EGC function before, please contact us before attending.

On, Monday, 3/14/2011, Bubastis Oasis’ local representatives of the Holy Royal Arch of Enoch and Princes and Princesses of Jerusalem will meet to discuss matters pertinent to that degree.

Saturday, 3/19/2011, at 11:30 PM will be our celebration for New Year’s Eve. So long Anno IVxviii!

Sunday 3/20/11, from 3 PM – 9 PM, Thelemic New Year! Happy Anno IVxix! Bubastis Oasis will be hosting the Supreme Ritual, the Invocation of Horus, to welcome in the New Year. We also will be having a Mediterranean potluck feast and a Thelemic Open House in order to answer any questions about Magick, Thelema, OTO/EGC or Bubastis Oasis.

As we roll ahead into 2011 e.v. Bubastis moves ahead with another great set of activities open to our membership and to the public.

First, if you don’t already know we do have a new Temple space located in Dallas at 2510 Electronic, Ste. 912. If you aren’t a member of the Order and are curious come by during a scheduled event and say hello.

Next, for the month of February we have the following:

Tuesday, 2/15/11, at 7:30 PM we have our first meeting of the Bubastis Achievers Group, a committee of our Brethren dedicated to achieving the established goals of our local body in the new year. If you are a Minerval or higher and in good standing with Grand Lodge we’d love to see you there.

Sunday, 2/20/11, at 6 PM our beloved Sisters, Angela and Alethea, will be officially ordained into the EGC Diaconate with a public Mass following their ordination ceremony. If you would like to attend either or both and have never attended an EGC function before, please contact us before attending.

Also, on Sunday, 2/27/11, at 2 PM the Coiled Splendour Sanctuary will celebrate the Gnostic Mass.

Once we get closer to the end of February, I’ll post additional information on events scheduled to occur during that month. You can also access our Google calendar from the website or our Yahoo Group calendar and Business Meeting Minutes for particulars.

Finally, please remember that local dues and pledges are due at the beginning of the month and are the lifeblood of our modest Oasis. So please make sure that they are paid as timely as possible so we are able meet our expenses without undue struggle.
